Easy Music to Learn on Guitar

When learning guitar, it’s important to have some songs to play. This helps keep your motivation high, and can be a lot of fun. While cracking an Eddie Van Halen solo or a Cream riff might be the ultimate goal for many beginners, you’ll want to start off with something a bit more simple.

The good news is that there are a lot of easy music to learn on guitar, even for total newcomers. This article will look at some of the most popular and accessible tracks for beginners to get started with, as well as some tips on how to make them as easy as possible.

If you’re looking for a song to learn, you should always listen to it first to make sure that it is suitable. This will help you to determine if there are any bits and pieces that might be a little difficult for you, or if you need to work on your chord strumming pattern. You should also try to listen to both the studio and live version of the song, as these can sometimes contain slight differences that may require some adjustment when playing yourself.

This track by The Smashing Pumpkins is a great choice for beginners because it only uses four easy chords: E minor, Em7, D, and C. Each of these has a different feel to it, and will help you to add a unique style to your playing. Another good thing about this song is that it’s quite repetitive, so you can practice it until you have it down perfectly.

Sweet Home Alabama is a classic song that any guitarist should try to learn at some point. While it’s not particularly complex, it can be a little tricky for beginners because of the use of the open A string and the ring finger in the chords (look at the diagram above to see where the finger should be). If you have a hard time getting this down, don’t worry too much about it, as there are plenty of easier songs that you can learn on your guitar.

Bob Dylan's famous song is a good example of how to combine a nice rhythm with a simple chord progression. While this song is not for complete beginners, it will allow you to play a couple of advanced techniques like a strum pattern that starts on the second fret of the fifth string and includes a Dsus2 chord (which you can create by fretting a third-fret G note on the first string) and a Cmaj7 chord (created by using your index finger to press down on the seventh fret on the B string).

If you’re a beginner, it’s a good idea to avoid any complex chords or fingering patterns until you have mastered the basics. However, that’s not to say that you can’t pick up a few of the more complex songs later on – they are still enjoyable to play! Just don’t take on too much too quickly, and remember that Rome wasn’t built in a day.
